As you may be aware, Grange are currently working towards gaining the Artsmark. We want to encourage our children to be creative and resilient in all aspects of their learning and felt that teaching these skills through art would be a fantastic way to enhance and develop them. This is how the Rainbow Project first came about.

Since September we have had our own resident artist, Mrs Wayne, working with each year group in the school. Each year group were given a colour at the start of the year and then Mrs Wayne has worked with the children to create different pieces of art centred around that colour (you have may have seen the displays popping up around school!) The children have studied the work of different artists and learnt a variety of techniques from a ‘real’ artist! Below is a snippet about what your child has done and a few photos of their day.

We would love to hear your thoughts about this and what your child has said at home.
